On April 16th, 2024, Odette successfully defended her Master’s thesis in the Collaborative Biostatistics program. Her thesis is entitled “The Prevalence and the Associated Factors of Anxiety Among First Nations Populations of Saskatchewan”. Well done!
Odette is a second-generation Canadian, and the oldest of four children, she was the first to attend university in Canada. Now, she is the only one who has a obtained a master’s degree. During her studies, she won first place for best poster at the 2023 CCGH. She played a role in establishing Friends of MSF at USask, and she has volunteered for many other clubs, such as UNICEF, AIESEC, and Bridges. After completing her master’s degree, she has been working on her third publication about food security and participating in research on women and girls who face violence at CHILD Studies (University of Calgary). She is also working on building her website (https://herauthenticcrown.ca), where she discusses girls' education and women's health.
