Congratulations to Alexander Crizzle and Amanda Froehlich-Chow on their recent promotions!
By Tyson BrownPlease join us in congratulating Dr. Alexander Crizzle on and Dr. Amanda Froehlich-Chow on their recent promotions!

Dr. Crizzle was recently promoted to Professor in the School of Public Health. He is the Director of the Driving Research and Simulation Laboratory and Director of the PhD program in Public Health. As a Professor in the SPH, he has made substantial contributions to fields of gerontology, transportation and road safety. His projects have ranged from examining medically at-risk drivers, impairment related to cannabis and driving performance, urban and rural transportation, pedestrian safety, urban design and the health and wellness of truck drivers. He has also developed a strong international presence having working collaborations in France, Barbados, USA, Thailand and Vietnam. His reputation and expertise have resulted in prior roles serving on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals, the Saskatchewan Public Health Association and the Prairie Skies Integration Network and was just recently appointed to the Accident Prevention Scientific Committee as part of the International Commission on Occupational Health.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Amanda Froehlich Chow has been awarded tenure and promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Froehlich-Chow is the Program Director for the Masters Of Public Health program, an instructor in PUBH-803 - Health Promotion, and a researcher working in the areas of integrating holistic approaches into wellness-focused interventions and interdisciplinary collaborations with rural, urban and Indigenous communities to develop, implement and evaluate community-based chronic disease prevention and treatment initiatives.
