Dr. Rein Lepnurm, who has taught in the School of Public Health since it's inception, has retired after 43 years of service to the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Lepnurm began his USASK tenure in 19xx, teaching [need more details] for the College of Economics, and later the Edwards School of Business.  Dr. Lepnurm came to SPH in 2007 to teach several Health Care Policy and Health Care Administration courses, and was the head of the Mercuri Research Group housed within the School of Public Health.

Dr. Rein Lepnurm with his commemorative clock

On June 11th 2025, SPH held a retirement tea for Dr. Lepnurm, where he was presented with several momentos to take with him into retirement.  The first of these was a Lucite Crystal-encased clock, engraved to commemorate the occasion.

Required Reading for his courses

Dr. Lepnurm is a proud Estonian by descent, and maintains strong connections with his mother country.  Much of his time in "retirement" he plans to spend continuing to provide policy advice to different levels of Estonian government.  Here we see Dr. Lepnurm at his retirement tea, perusing some potential required reading for courses he might consider offering in the future.

A photomontage for Dr. Lepnurm to remember us by

The last momento was a framed photomontage of Dr. Lepnurm and the Health Sciences Building.
